ABOUT
MATTEA BITTNER
Mattea “Matt” Bittner is a musician, actor, singer, and dancer. Mattea is currently NYC based but is originally from the Pacific Northwest. Mattea started her musical journey playing violin at the age of ten and started to pick up other instruments over the years. She began singing at her local church in Washington state at age eleven, and has continued to sing a variety of styles, with a special interest in rock and indie music.
In Mattea’s junior year of High School she took an interest in acting which led her to participating in competitions such as the Stageworks Northwest One-Act Play Festival, where her group won “Best Overall Play” amongst other awards for their performance in Numbers. These events led her into performing in her first musical, where she starred as lead role “Olive Ostrovsky” in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
Mattea studied acting and musical theatre at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in NYC. As of May 2022 she has graduated with a certificate of completion from their Integrated Musical Theatre Conservatory program.
Mattea continues to live in NYC, going after opportunities not only in theater but also film. She hopes to see you out there!
